Basics About ATV Trailer
Suzuki sold the first 4-wheeled mini all-terrain vehicle, the LT50, from 1984 to 1987. After the LT50, Suzuki sold the first all-terrain vehicle with a CVT transmission, the LT80, from 1987 to 2006.
All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) were introduced for the first time in 1930. In the beginning, there were six tires, three on each side. A new technology was developed by Honda in 1986, called the FourTrax TRX 350. The other manufacturers quickly followed and introduced the 4 x 4 utility ATV, which has remained the most popular type of ATV.
This type of ATVs is used on hills, roads, and paths. It is typically straddled by the rider on a saddle-type seat, much as one would straddle a motorcycle. Users can choose to use their ATVs either as road vehicles or for off-road adventures.
The usual shopping method in finding the best tires will still be going straight to the source – tire dealers. The problem with tire dealers is that they usually concentrate on one brand only and this limits your selection. It also means you have to jump from one tire dealer to another and then go back and assess which tires you want the most. It also means a lot of work comparing and talking to people you might not know and be willing to trust.
The rider sits astride it as on a motorbike and operates it likewise, with handlebars for controlling the steering. The only difference is that the vehicle is more stable in lower speeds due to the extra wheels, compared to regular motorbikes. Although the ATV usually comes with 3 or 4 wheels, there are 6-wheel models that are used for special applications. The sizes of ATV engines currently available are in the range of 49cc to 950cc.
